The council received reports on health services, including immunization compliance and health screenings. Family and community engagement reports covered the It's Time Texas Community Challenge and the Healthy Body, Bright Minds initiative. Physical education agenda items included the Marathon Kids initiative and a subcommittee update on curriculum review. Food and Nutrition services provided updates on School Breakfast Week and a district coffee initiative. Additionally, the committee reviewed the HOPE Squad peer-to-peer suicide prevention program and received takeaways from the Bodies, Boundaries & Behavior Conference.

The council meeting covered the election of officers for the Vice-Chairperson and Secretary positions. Key agenda items included an overview of a mental health career pathways project, a review of EVERFI programs for student health and wellness, and an update on district human trafficking awareness and prevention initiatives. The council also discussed bullying prevention strategies, improvements to the district wellness plan, and the implementation of Marathon Kids and FitnessGram programs. The committee reviewed the proposed health curriculum for the 2024-2025 school year, covering instructional materials and health education requirements.
