The Board of Commissioners conducted a legislative session where several resolutions were approved, including a grant agreement for athletic facility upgrades at Gibbs High School, a cylinder collection services contract, various roadway improvement and easement projects, and an opioid settlement agreement for remediation strategies. The Board also addressed administrative and governance items such as the approval of line item transfers and budget amendments, the appointment of members to the Board of Equalization, and amendments to the Commission rules. Furthermore, several ordinances were passed on first reading regarding county fund disbursement procedures and the recognition of self-defense rights on county property.

The Board of Commissioners addressed several rezoning requests for various properties, resulting in approvals with specific conditions for some applications, while others were deferred to future meetings. Additionally, a first reading of an ordinance regarding vested rights and revisions to the zoning code was deferred for further consideration. No public comments were received during the scheduled forums, and no other business was brought before the board.

Actions included approving rezonings for properties at 0 Fox Road from Office, Medical, and Related Services to Planned Commercial; 1117 Granville Conner Road from Agricultural to Low Density Residential; 115 W Hendron Chapel Road from Agricultural to General Business; and 509 and 511 Kimberlin Heights Road from Agricultural to Low Density Residential. Several other items were deferred to the following month, specifically requests for properties at 7920 and 8014 Asheville Highway, 2131 E Governor John Sevier Highway, 8005 Millertown Pike, and 7120 Ball Camp Pike.

The Board of Commissioners addressed several agenda items, including the approval of various consulting and license agreements for educational purposes and school-related grant acceptances. The Board also confirmed appointments to the Emergency Communications District Board of Directors and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
