The Council meeting involved the appointment of a new district 2 council member and a presentation on the ADA transition plan. The Council approved several contracts, including those for storm water inspections, school speed cameras, employee handbook updates, and sewer work easements in Drew Valley. Additionally, the Council pursued an opportunity zone designation for the Buford Highway, passed a cleanup budget ordinance, authorized an agreement with Emory to fund a pedestrian bridge, and updated the audit committee ordinance. The city also secured additional green space for the Lennox Overlook.
