Regional Community Action Coalition Digital Opportunity Plan
This Regional Digital Opportunity Plan, developed by a coalition of community action agencies, aims to address barriers to effective and meaningful broadband use and achieve digital equity across a multi-county and city region in Virginia. The plan's strategic pillars focus on five key areas: providing affordable and robust internet services, ensuring access to internet-enabled devices, offering digital literacy training, delivering quality technical support, and designing accessible online content. The overarching vision is to enable all residents, particularly underserved populations such as rural residents, low-income households, and individuals with disabilities, to safely access the full benefits of technology for living, learning, working, and thriving, leading to improved workforce development, education, health, and housing outcomes.
