The meeting included discussions and updates on various initiatives such as the Adopt-A-Spot program, the Butterfly Garden, and upcoming events. The board considered naming the butterfly garden area at Corinth Community Park, with options including Corinth Nature Preserve, Corinth Sand Prairie Preserve, and Corinth Cross Timbers Preserve. There was also a discussion about hosting the Greatest American Cleanup in the spring of 2026, encouraging residents to participate in litter removal and community beautification efforts.

The Corinth Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) held a meeting to discuss several key items. The board discussed the Economic Development Monthly Update and priorities for the FY26 Economic Development Fund budget. The board also discussed real estate matters in a closed session, specifically the 5700 block of I-35E and the 1200 block of North Corinth Street, as well as economic development negotiations related to a performance agreement with the City of Corinth and a Chapter 380 Agreement with Kairos Real Estate. Other topics included monthly sales tax reporting, a networking mixer hosted by the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Spotlight program.

The meeting included discussions on tree planting locations, a special event update covering staff introductions, a review of FY 24-25 events, and a schedule for FY 25-26. Input was sought for the playground design at Eagle Pass Park, with a focus on meeting the needs of local families and enhancing the park experience. There was also a discussion on the right-of-way Landscape Ordinance and an update on the Bike Plan and the Active Transportation Plan.

The Planning & Zoning Commission held a workshop to discuss Corinth Habitat Restoration and Conservation Initiatives, including the restoration of a sand prairie area in partnership with the University of North Texas, pond restoration, and the planting of native wildflowers. They also discussed a city-initiated rezoning of the Gibson Heights Subdivision from C-2 Commercial to a Planned Development with a base zoning district of SF-4 Single Family Residential to allow homeowners to rebuild houses that were burned down. Additionally, the commission discussed the draft Active Transportation Plan, which includes a complete street plan, a Comprehensive Mobility Plan, and the enhancement of walking trails throughout the City.

The City Council meeting included the formal swearing-in of council members, a proclamation to recognize a resident for receiving the Girl Scout Gold Award, and a proclamation recognizing the services and sacrifices of Corinth Police Officers during National Police Week. Life Saving Presentations were given to officers for two calls for emergency service. The council also considered interlocal agreements between Denton County and the City of Corinth for the Public Works Department, Police Department, and Lake Cities Fire Department regarding the use of Denton County's radio communications system and Shared Governance Communications and Dispatch Services. Additionally, the council discussed and considered approval of the Mayor Pro Tem and a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with TxDOT for the installation and operation of automated license plate recognition cameras.
