The board discussed and considered approving an increase in the capacity of a master contract with Dozz Design & Manufacturing LLC. The proposed amendment involves an additional $1,000,000, raising the total cumulative contract amount to $1,500,000. This increase is intended to support ongoing utility operations, emergency repairs, and capital improvement projects by ensuring the availability of critical equipment, supplies, and materials.
The board discussed the Competitive Sealed Proposal No. 18-26 for the Northwest Development Water Main Extension project. Proposals from eight firms were evaluated based on financial capacity, safety, experience, and price. Staff recommended deeming two firms non-responsible due to failing safety qualification criteria. The committee recommended awarding the contract to ZTEX Construction, Inc. as the highest-ranked responsive and responsible offeror, noting that their bid amount was below the Engineer's Opinion of Construction Cost.
