The Commission also reviewed various staff-approved alterations for multiple properties, including window replacements and other structural modifications. A discussion regarding roofed structures on docks was postponed to a future meeting.

The Historical Commission discussed several key items, including a staff update regarding the upcoming film festival funding and budget reviews. The committee reviewed oral history projects, proposing future recording sessions at various community events and senior living facilities, and discussed the potential restoration and digitization of historic Town Council minute books. Additionally, the commission evaluated event planning for the upcoming fiscal year, including the Gullah Kinfolk Traveling Theater and Black History Month programming. New marketing templates were reviewed, and potential changes to the meeting schedule for the summer months were considered for future deliberation.
