The Strategic Plan for Junipero Serra Elementary School defines core values and strategic priorities aimed at realizing its 'Portrait of a Graduate' vision. The Board of Trustees convened to conduct its reorganization, involving the nomination and appointment of the Board President, Vice President, and Clerk. The agenda included the adoption of a resolution to honor the outgoing Board President for their year of service. Furthermore, the Board addressed the selection of members to serve on key subcommittees, including the Board Policies and Bylaws Subcommittee, the City-School District Subcommittee, and the Facilities Subcommittee.

The committee conducted a review of numerous board policies and bylaws, including those concerning remuneration, instructional materials, bidding procedures, contracts, emergency schedules, district records, employee compensation, employee security, mental health, suicide prevention, oath of affirmation, legal protection, comprehensive safety, immigration enforcement response, and student records. These policies were reviewed prior to being presented to the full Board of Trustees for consideration. Several items were identified to be pulled for review at a future date.
