Board of Commissioners of the Union City Housing Authority of the City of Union City Regular Session of the Board
The meeting included an oath of office for the Board of Commissioners. The board discussed resolutions for publishing RFPs for plumbing, electrical, and general contracting services for the Phase II COAH project, as well as boiler and hot water heater cleaning services. They ratified votes taken by telephone regarding the annual budget, capital budget program, and the capital fund program. The board also discussed a request for proposal for two-year maintenance contracts. Updates were provided on ongoing projects, including roof repairs and collaborations with the City of Union City on new housing units for senior citizens. The challenges of utilizing Section 8 vouchers due to limited availability of apartments and delays in state approvals for RAD projects were also addressed.
