This document outlines a comprehensive competency framework for artificial intelligence skills development across Mississippi, spanning from K-12 education through the workforce. It establishes five statewide priorities: AI Literacy and Access for All, Ethics & Critical Thinking, Data Privacy & Governance, Workforce Readiness & Flexibility, and Strategic Alignment with Statewide Initiatives. The framework aims to cultivate an environment where AI is actively created, applied, and advanced, fostering innovation and economic growth throughout the state, guided by four AI Literacy Pillars: AI Understanding & Mindset, Responsible Data & Evaluation Practices, Effective Human-AI Collaboration, and Contextual Application & Adaptation.
