The committee discussed the 2026-27 BSEP and BERRA Annual Plan process and timeline. Presentations were held regarding recommendations for funding in the areas of communication, translation, and measure oversight, as well as educator recruitment, retention, and development. The committee also discussed an outline for a statement to the Board to be finalized in a future session.

The Berkeley Schools Excellence Program's 2026-27 Classroom Support Plan outlines a comprehensive strategy to enhance student success and educational experiences within the Berkeley Unified School District by allocating additional Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) for various support programs. The plan is structured around key pillars: Academic Excellence and Equitable Outcomes for All, Wellness and Belonging, Partnership & Engagement, Talent & Culture, and System Efficiency and Fiscal Responsibility.
