The committee expressed support for the program, and further steps will be coordinated with the elementary principal. The Grandview ISD District of Innovation Plan aims to secure exemptions from specific Texas Education Code provisions to achieve greater local control and flexibility. Key areas of focus include school start dates, educator certification, probationary contracts, student-teacher ratios, transfer student policies, and retire/rehire minimum salaries. New exemptions are also sought for the length of the school day, school district depositories contracts, and grievance policy, all designed to empower the district to innovate and tailor educational programming to local community needs.

This Campus Improvement Plan for Grandview Jr. High School serves as a roadmap to enhance student performance, ensure a highly qualified and supported staff, and cultivate a safe and conducive learning environment. The plan focuses on improving student achievement in core subjects, fostering academic growth, and addressing the needs of special education students. It also prioritizes staff recruitment, professional development, and creating a positive workplace culture. Additionally, the plan emphasizes campus safety, student wellness, effective communication with stakeholders, improving attendance rates, and preparing students for high school and future careers, with specific strategies to close achievement gaps for Emergent Bilingual, Special Education, and Economically Disadvantaged subgroups.
