The 2019-2023 Colorado Homeland Security Strategy (CHSS) aims to create a prepared, safe, and resilient Colorado. It focuses on enhancing capabilities in prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery, as well as training and exercise, planning, cybersecurity, and preparedness. The strategy emphasizes a whole-community approach, integrating state, local, federal, non-governmental, and private sector stakeholders. Key areas of focus include improving information sharing, protecting critical infrastructure, mitigating the impact of natural and human-caused disasters, enhancing response capabilities, improving recovery efforts, and strengthening cybersecurity. The plan will be reviewed annually and updated as needed.
