The meeting included discussions and actions regarding a proposed amendment to the 2019 Master Business Agreement, revisions to the wording, and documentation requirements for the JPA Governing Boards and SCCOE. An update was provided on the Public Storage Property Lease, including the process for unanimous approval from all JPA member districts. A discussion about a solar project approved by the MetroED board in June 2023, and a cease and desist letter from San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD) due to a conflict with their housing plans, which led to an agreement for further discussions between MetroED and SJUSD to explore alternative options for the solar project. Proposed meeting dates for 2025-2026 were also reviewed.
The meeting addressed a proposed amendment to the 2019 Master Business Agreement, which was drafted at a previous meeting. Following a discussion, the amendment was unanimously approved and will be sent out for signatures via DocuSign. The council also discussed and approved the Public Storage Property Lease Update. Additionally, the council approved the proposed meeting dates for 2025-2026, recommending four meetings per year and updating the Instructional Council meeting times.
