Georgetown Isd Board Workshop
The workshop included a high-priority campus update with Mitchell and Pearl, a federal grants update, and a rezoning conversation. Pearl Elementary's turnaround plan was presented, focusing on instructional strategies, high-quality student tasks, observation, growth, feedback, and timely response data. The discussion covered instructional coherence, internalization of lessons, and the use of student exemplars. The biggest challenge is student discipline, with efforts focused on special education behavior. Monitoring of instructional strategies involves common assessments and map data. Common assessments are developed collaboratively with the teaching and learning team, ensuring alignment with HQIM.
