The event recognized the South College Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) January Class of 2026 White Coat Ceremony. Speakers acknowledged the challenges faced by the students, including logistical changes due to a winter storm, and praised their perseverance, flexibility, and growth throughout their program, noting they are over halfway complete and about to begin their first clinical experiences. Faculty and student speakers emphasized the symbolism of the white coat, representing commitment, trustworthiness, and the responsibility to provide ethical, safe, and effective care. Advice centered on embracing learning from mistakes, remaining genuine with patients, and making the most of upcoming clinical rotations by being proactive in seeking feedback.
