The board meeting was cancelled due to technical difficulties and all agenda items were deferred to a special meeting scheduled for a later date.

The committee held a meeting to discuss water resource agency and groundwater sustainability agency public engagements and activities. Additionally, the agenda covered a groundwater management program regulatory fee, a report on dam safety projects and operations funding studies, and an overview of the water resources agency fiscal year budget.

The meeting included public hearings for three projects regarding Commercial Vacation Rentals. The Zoning Administrator approved a request to allow transient lodging for the property located at 789 Salinas Monterey Hwy. Additionally, approval was granted for a Use Permit for a Commercial Vacation Rental at 1063 Mission Road, Pebble Beach. Finally, the Zoning Administrator approved a Combined Development Permit for the property at 32829 East Carmel Valley Rd, which involved a change of use for an Accessory Dwelling Unit to a second single-family dwelling and the authorization of a Commercial Vacation Rental.

The meeting included an administrative hearing regarding a single-family dwelling project, which was continued to a later date for further testing. The Zoning Administrator also reviewed and approved four separate commercial vacation rental applications, granting Coastal Development Permits or Use Permits for transient lodging at properties in Carmel and Pebble Beach. These approvals included various non-substantive resolutions, staff-recommended changes, and specific conditions related to safety and fee compliance.

The Board of Directors held a budget workshop to review the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Fiscal Year 2026-27 Recommended Budget. The session included comments from board directors regarding the proposed fiscal plan.
