The Board adopted a proclamation for Mental Health Awareness Month and approved several interlocal cooperation agreements, including a program for the deaf and a dual credit program with The University of Texas at San Antonio. Additionally, the Board approved multiple Requests for Proposals for instructional supplies, fine arts equipment, apparel, catering, and professional development services, along with various Memorandums of Understanding for student residencies and alternative education programs. The Board also reviewed the district's instructional materials allotment and certification, discussed a report on the STEM Academy and the purchasing scoring matrix, and addressed human resources recommendations, school safety, potential litigation, and real estate acquisition in closed session.

The board workshop centered on the discussion of the 2026-2027 budget, which included a review of the current financial outlook, compensation planning, and employee benefits.

The board selected new officers, including a President, Vice-President, and Secretary. The board canvassed and made official the results of the recent bond election and discussed next steps for bond projects, including bond sales, oversight committee formation, and project management framework development. Additionally, the board approved teacher and professional contracts, passed a proclamation recognizing Lupus Awareness Month, and heard reports on elementary recess and lunch procedures, as well as the results of the professional employee opinion survey.

The board convened for a closed session to conduct a Level III grievance hearing for Sonia Guerra. Following the session, the board reconvened in open session before adjourning.

The board conducted a public hearing regarding the proposed tax rate. Key actions included the approval of several Request for Proposals (RFPs) related to special education equipment, athletic supplies, and fine arts equipment, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding for an adult education program. The board adopted a proclamation for Down Syndrome Awareness Month, awarded a branding rights contract for athletic uniforms, and approved a localized policy manual update. Furthermore, the board passed a resolution setting the 2025 tax rate, approved self-funded medical plan rates, authorized a technology equipment initiative, and reviewed budget amendments. Human resources recommendations were also approved following a closed session.
