The plan also prioritizes fostering arts and culture for social and economic growth, promoting local economic development to create employment and unique destinations, improving equitable access to parks and open spaces, and expanding affordable housing opportunities to strengthen the community.

The commission focused on planning initiatives for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, specifically detailing a program at City Hall featuring guest speakers, honorees, and a call to wear purple. Discussions covered topics such as bystander intervention, healthy teen relationships, community outreach, and the promotion of available resources. Additionally, the group addressed efforts to recognize advocates, review historical data, coordinate with law enforcement regarding cold cases, and identify logistics for event promotion and digital resource distribution.
