The commission reviewed feedback from a recent parks tour and engaged in discussions regarding the Town of Darien's draft Plan of Conservation and Development to prepare recommendations for the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Director's Report provided updates on completed infrastructure projects, including beach improvements and pond dredging, as well as operational data regarding registration numbers, permit sales, and upcoming summer programs, events, and maintenance activities.

The board conducted an executive session regarding pending litigation and heard a presentation on the mission and plans of DarienTV. Reports included updates on a Sister City partnership in Ukraine, conservation efforts, ongoing Great Island entrance improvements, and facility renovations. Public comments addressed a proposed cultural center. The board approved tax appeal settlements for two properties, authorized the 2026 Push-n-Pull Parade, reappointed a constable for the Tokeneke Tax District, appointed a temporary Assessor, and approved a template for a revocable parking license agreement for town-managed lots. A request to participate in the Pathogen Monitoring Network was tabled for a future meeting.

The committee discussed the status of the target location database, which includes 31 locations across 18 streets. Members deliberated on the timeline and deadlines for finalizing the target list. Outreach strategies to increase public awareness were reviewed, including potential use of the town's social media, newsletter, website, and local organizations such as the library, schools, and the YMCA. Additionally, the committee reviewed a draft of the scoring matrix, including scoring theories and weightings related to proximity to key locations.

The committee reviewed and passed a resolution to increase the appropriation and bond authorization for the NHFD Retaining Wall Project by $618,800. They also approved the appointment of Jon Zagrodzky to the Aquarion Regional Water District Representative Policy Board. Additionally, the committee received reports on various public works topics, including updates on roads, sidewalks, and parking; the Sump Pump Ordinance reporting process; drainage and flooding projects; the Great Island Parking Design Committee progress; and the Town Plan of Conservation and Development effort.

The committee discussed project milestones for Hindley, Holmes, and Royle schools, noting that all are on schedule despite minor HVAC issues. The session included a detailed review of the wish list, focusing on the financial feasibility of additions such as new bathrooms, main entrances, and gym floor replacements. A financial report was presented, highlighting project spending progress and state reimbursement statuses. The committee also formally approved pay applications for the three school projects.
