Rancho Palos Verdes City Council City Council Update
The City Council held two public hearings and conducted other business. The first hearing addressed the Trump National Golf Club's maintenance compliance regarding trails and open space, resulting in the council directing staff to transition the maintenance review process from an annual to a biannual cycle. An update was provided on the status of the Catalina Trail and bridge. The second public hearing covered a state-required report on city personnel vacancies, recruitment, and retention efforts for 2025. Additionally, the council approved a community contest to name a new emergency AM radio station, which is being developed in partnership with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District to serve as a secondary communication tool for public safety updates.
