Murfreesboro Water Resources Department Water Resource Integration Plan 2018-2035
The Murfreesboro Water Resources Department's Water Resource Integration Plan (WRIP) serves as a strategic roadmap for holistic water management in the Stones River Watershed. It adopts an integrated "One Water" approach, uniting drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and repurified water, and is guided by the ten attributes of Effective Utility Management. The plan evaluates future water needs and addresses challenges such as source water protection and diversification, biosolids management, and infrastructure performance, with the aim of ensuring long-term resilience, supporting community growth, and safeguarding the environment through sustainable, affordable, and high-quality services up to 2035.
