The meeting included a presentation of the District's annual comprehensive financial report for fiscal year 2024/25, which received an unmodified opinion from independent auditors. Additionally, the commission deliberated on the adoption of a multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan, which was tabled for further clarification regarding hazard assessments, and discussed potential new legislation that could provide compensation for the loss of tax revenue.

The board meeting focused on a strategic visioning workshop, where participants were expected to provide direction to staff regarding future goals and objectives for the Harbor District.

The agenda includes closed session discussions on anticipated litigation, labor negotiations with the Port San Luis Patrol Officers Association and The Service Employees International Union, and real property negotiations for retail space on Harford Pier. Open session items involve the adoption of the San Luis Obispo County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan 2025 Update, the declaration of emergency for Avila Pier rehabilitation with a waiver for competitive bidding, and a public hearing to amend the District Code of Ordinances regarding the schedule of fees, tariffs, and other charges.

Additional discussions included updates on the strategic planning schedule, the hiring of summer lifeguards, and upcoming parking lot maintenance projects.

The board meeting agenda included a presentation by the County of San Luis Obispo and consultants from Mott MacDonald regarding the County Offshore Wind O&M Infrastructure Study.
