Livonia Town Council Regular Meeting
The Council reviewed and approved treasurer's reports and invoices. The agenda included a hearing regarding nuisance vehicle violations, resulting in orders for compliance or removal of specific vehicles. Additionally, several ordinances were adopted concerning the regulation of abandoned, inoperative, or nuisance vehicles, the regulation of junk as a public nuisance, the condemnation and removal of dilapidated and dangerous structures, and new miscellaneous charges for water and gas customers. The engineer's report provided an update on the water well project and funding for sewer treatment plant equipment, with the Council resolving to contract with an engineering firm for the latter. Departmental updates were provided regarding community center rentals, erosion control at Bayou Road, police department statistics, water and gas meter installation, property clean-ups, demolition of blighted properties, and enforcement of nuisance vehicle ordinances.
