The OSSE Strategic Plan 2026–2030 is designed to build momentum for every student’s future within the District of Columbia. The strategic plan for the Oficina del Superintendente Estatal de Educación (OSSE) outlines its direction from 2026 to 2030. It is structured around five core priorities: Achievement in Literacy and Mathematics, Postsecondary Success, High-Quality Special Education, Healthy and Engaged Students, and Excellent Core Operations. It outlines key academic, personal, and interpersonal characteristics and competencies, including Foundational Knowledge and Skills, Learner Agency, Information, Media, and Technology Literacy, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Communication and Collaboration, Social, Emotional, and Physical Well-being, and Global and Local Citizenship. The profile aims to prepare all DC students to thrive in a rapidly changing, diverse, and interconnected world by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills.
This strategic plan for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education outlines five key priorities to guide its efforts from 2026 to 2030.
