The meeting began with acknowledgments to the AV team and Rachel Scoffields for their preparation. The council approved the trustee emmeritus nominations for Clarion University trustees R. Lee James, James Kyer, Suzanne Burns, Melissa Bower, and Howard Shrekenoss. Melissa Hammer Bower was recognized for her 10 years of service as a Clarion University trustee and her involvement in various initiatives. Representative R. Lee James was also honored for his 25 years of service. Jim Kyer, Sue Burns, and Howard Shrekenos were acknowledged for their contributions, including their support for Clarion University and the community.

The meeting included introductions of the members. The university president provided a high-level overview of key areas and a blueprint for the newly formed institution. The blueprint includes organizational structure, capacity, culture, DEI initiatives, student experience enhancement, budget refinement, master schedule program, and physical plant footprint.

The Council of Trustees convened to discuss various key topics, including updates from the University President, APSCUF, Faculty Senate, and Student Trustees. There were updates on PACT activities, Communications and Marketing initiatives, Academic Affairs, Enrollment, Student Affairs, Finance and Administration, and University Advancement. Approvals were made for the creation of schools of Education, Nursing, and Business, as well as the preliminary budget for FY 2025/2026. Additionally, the naming of the field at Clarion Memorial Stadium as the Al Jacks Field was approved.
