The meeting agenda was approved, followed by a public comment session where updates on local events and the Allamakee Leadership Institute were provided. Key actions included the approval of an updated County zoning map reflecting changes since 2021. The Board also approved the retirement of a part-time custodial employee and authorized several financial transfers from the General Basic Fund and Rural Basic Fund to Secondary Roads. The hiring of a new Maintenance Person 2 was approved, and bids for annual painting of county road lines were reviewed, resulting in the approval of the low bid from Fahrner Asphalt Sealers. Furthermore, the Board approved opening the Roads Department Collective Bargaining Agreement for wage discussions only. Bids were opened for bridge replacement projects east of Volney and bridge repair projects west of Volney, which are scheduled for review and potential approval in the subsequent week. A budget work session was held afterward to discuss FY27 budget proposals with department heads.

The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors convened as the Board of Canvassers to review and canvass the combined election results from Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, and Winneshiek counties. Following the second-tier canvass, the board declared the election results for various positions, including the City Mayor and City Council members for Postville, as well as Directors for Allamakee and Postville School Districts.

The meeting included a hospital update covering audit results, projects, new billboards, providers, and an EMS Director. There was discussion and approval of resolutions for reciprocal legal assistance between Allamakee and Fayette counties, retroactive to May 2024. An amendment to the Zoning Ordinance L regarding Wind Energy Conversion Systems was approved for a second reading. The appointment of a new deputy sheriff was approved. Updates were provided on electronically filed Manure Management Plans, Family Farm applications, and various department activities including K-9 unit training, water project status, election updates, and the upcoming valuation process.

The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors convened as the Board of Canvassers to canvass the results of the November 4, 2025, City-School election and declare winners for races solely within Allamakee County. They approved a contract with MB Construction for a water project at the Public Safety Center.

The meeting included public comments on local events, the food bank in Postville, and conservation practices in the Yellow River area. The Robey Memorial Library Director thanked the Supervisors for their support and shared usage numbers. The third reading of Amendment #19 to Zoning Ordinance L was tabled until the next meeting. Diesel and gasoline margin quotes were approved for secondary roads shops. Department head updates were given on the Winneshiek landfill, waste management service, Hazard Mitigation Plan review, road projects, and department vacancies. A work session discussed recommendations from EMC Insurance following a building walk-through.
