Jack Williamson Lectureship Panel Discussion
The panel discussion explored the creative challenges of world-building for non-human characters and artificial intelligence. Participants discussed avoiding human bias in fiction, the process of giving agency to non-human entities, and how different biological or mechanical perspectives can shape the definition of society, war, and morality. The conversation also touched upon the role of science fiction in expanding reader empathy and the authors' personal approaches to exploring complex philosophical questions through their work.
