The plan emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to challenge and develop the whole child in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment, fostering leadership and life skills to produce productive citizens.
The meeting included approvals for out-of-state field trips for PHHS students to attend basketball team camps in Texas and Arkansas, as well as for NHS students to attend a bass fishing tournament in Oklahoma. The board also approved the Super App 2024-2025 Budget Amendment #5. Additionally, the board considered and approved the 2025-2026 SY Food Service Bids, a resolution for the issuance and sale of Sales Tax Bonds, Series 2025, and the modified Salary Schedule for the Special Projects Maintenance Worker, along with the SPSB Salary Schedule revision. The Superintendent's Report was also presented.
The Sabine Parish Universal Preschool (SPUP) School Readiness Plan is designed to guide efforts toward positive child outcomes, supported by ongoing communications, trainings, and professional development. It focuses on ensuring children are ready for school by fostering physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. The plan emphasizes the importance of families in supporting children's learning and involves delivering responsive, research-based curriculum, analyzing program data, and implementing strategic professional development and program adjustments to continually improve School Readiness Outcomes.
The board meeting included discussions and approvals on several key areas. Out-of-state field trips for Many High School and Zwolle High School were approved, along with the termination of a Food Service Technician.
