Members updated the standing rules and conducted a session for nominating officers for the upcoming year, specifically for the positions of chair, vice chair, and secretary. Additionally, committees provided updates, with the mental and behavioral health committee highlighting concerns regarding the impact of detention center stays on students, particularly immigrant students, and the lack of dedicated resources for trauma support.
