Friends of DHA Toolkit
This document outlines the development of a national toolkit designed to expand affordable homeownership opportunities through infill strategies. It aims to address the significant challenges faced by 'missing middle families' in achieving homeownership due to structural barriers. The initiative involves documenting a successful partnership between Friends of DHA and the Denver Housing Authority to deliver wealth-building opportunities. The toolkit seeks to provide a scalable model for cities to build affordable homes and offer essential homeownership education, by integrating policy initiatives, strategic partnerships, and federal funding to create a sustainable framework for future generations.

Board of Commissioners Operating Budget
The Denver Housing Authority's (DHA) approved Operating Budget for the fiscal year 2025 totals $371,096,538, representing a 4% decrease from the FY 2024 budget. The budget was developed in line with HUD's Asset Management Principles, where costs associated with the General Administrative Fund are mainly covered by fees from the programs it supports. DHA continues to prioritize reducing reliance on federal funds by diversifying revenue sources. The FY 2025 budget balances the need for fiscal responsibility with DHA's mission to provide affordable housing to Denver's residents. The budget incorporates the use of $7,286,154 from DHA reserves.
