SUNY Oneonta Strategic Plan 2024-2033
SUNY Oneonta's 10-year strategic plan (2023-2033) outlines 13 long-term outcomes focused on maintaining relevance, stable enrollment, positive student outcomes, and financial stability. The plan is structured around four institutional agendas, with the first, the Forward Momentum Agenda (FMA), covering 2024-2026. Key areas of focus include academic excellence and equity (enhancing experiential learning, supporting student success, and developing new programs); student success (improving mental health services, fostering a sense of belonging, and enhancing career development); advancing the community (promoting employee wellbeing, building community partnerships, and celebrating achievements); institutional relevance (strengthening philanthropy, advancing digital transformation, and implementing the Facilities Master Plan); and creating a university of the community (expanding regional leadership, promoting economic growth, and leveraging the ExCL Center). The plan aims to achieve these goals through various strategic objectives, including expanding experiential learning opportunities, enhancing mental health support, promoting diversity and inclusion, improving student support services, fostering a vibrant campus community, strengthening partnerships with regional entities, and implementing sustainable practices.
