Board of Trustees of Appalachian State University Board Meeting
The Board of Trustees met to address various administrative and academic matters. Key discussion topics included the administration of the oath of office, remarks from the Chancellor, and reports from the Academic Affairs/Student Affairs, Athletics, Audit, Risk & Compliance, Finance and Operations, and Nominating committees. The Board reviewed proposed changes to the Faculty Handbook, including updates to review terminology and faculty workload policies, as well as an annual faculty workload report. Additionally, the Board considered the amendment of the John M. Blackburn Distinguished Professorship in Theatre, various capital project authorizations, and real estate transactions.
