The strategic plan for California State University, Chico aims to foster the University's growth and excellence. The Foundation's mission is to support this plan by raising, investing, and disbursing necessary funds.

The Development Committee meeting focused on several key areas. The Chair's Report confirmed the approval of the October 3, 2024 meeting minutes, and a Governors' Award recipient presented on their advisory work with interns. The Development Report provided fundraising updates for fiscal year 24/25, noting that Giving Day is scheduled for March 5 with a goal exceeding $1 million. Updates were also provided on federal fundraising progress for several earmarked projects, including the University Farm and Human ID Lab. The Alumni and Advocacy Report covered engagement efforts, including Hill Week in Washington DC, and upcoming alumni programming. The CEO's Report detailed the progress of the 'Decide the Future' campaign, which has secured $232 million, reaching 39% of its goal.
