Colorado River Commission of Nevada Commission Meeting
The meeting involved several key actions and informational updates. For possible action, the Commission approved three contracts related to the City of Boulder City Substation #3 Rebuild: Contract CRCBC-05 with Commercial Energy Services and Supply, LLC dba CESS for two 69 kV circuit breakers, and Contract CRCBC-06 with Sonepar Mountain Holdings, LLC, dba Codale Electric Supply for nine 15 kV circuit breakers. A contract, SA-25-HEE, was approved with High Energy Engineering, LLC for a High Voltage System -- Digital Substation Inspection Platform. The Commission adjusted the collateral amounts for retail industrial contractors for Calendar Year 2026 and approved an increase to the hydropower administrative charge, adopting a fixed budget allocation method instead of increasing the per-kilowatt-hour rate. Additionally, Joseph Stubitz was appointed to the Silver State Energy Association (SSEA) Board of Directors. Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. CRCBF-14 with Summit Line Construction, Inc., concerning the Boulder Flats Solar Interconnection Project, was also approved, increasing the contract price due to scope changes like the TS2 Interconnection and security updates. Informational updates were provided regarding the Parker-Davis Project hydropower allocation process for allocations effective after October 1, 2028, financial audit preparation for Fiscal Years 2024 and 2025, pending legal matters, and hydrological conditions in the Colorado River Basin.
