The meeting focused on board appointments for the Citizens Advisory Committee. A motion was made to table the consideration of these appointments.

The board meeting included discussion and action on several key items. Public comments were received regarding staff compensation and changes to the teaching schedule. The agenda was amended to include a late resignation. Resignations and hires were considered and approved. A first reading of policies (6000's and 7000's) was approved. The board considered and approved high school parking fees, an out-of-state field trip request, an updated COVID plan, and an opt-out state assessment plan for 23-24. A discussion and decision were made regarding dental and health insurance renewal for the 24-25 school year. A social media litigation agreement was approved. Finally, a second reading of policies (Neola Policies 3000's thru 5000's) was approved.

The Board of Education retreat included a work session covering self-evaluation survey results, policy review, a book study overview, review and modification of the board program evaluation and assessment schedule for the 2024-2025 school year, board goals for the 2024-2025 school year, and superintendent evaluation and goals.
