The Board addressed various personnel matters, including resignations and appointments for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 terms. Financial transactions and revisions were reviewed, and several agreements were considered for approval, including a contract extension and the Gadsden Educational Staff Professional Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. Additionally, the Board discussed school facility and property matters, such as FEMA projects, property disposal, fencing, inspection services, and building solutions. Other agenda items included an out-of-state field trip request and educational issues presented by the Superintendent.

The workshop focused on a review of the universal breakfast program for elementary schools, including challenges regarding site implementation and a request for funding to expand access. The board discussed the implementation of a new fresh fruit and vegetable program and reviewed a budget status summary for various funds. Presentations were made regarding assessed tax valuations and millage rates for the upcoming operating year. The Superintendent provided updates on potential partnerships, the status of school grade reporting, and upcoming community initiatives. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding infrastructure repairs and the planning of a new IT program intended to support student transitions into the workforce.

The meeting included the approval of personnel matters for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school terms, including various resignations, retirements, and administrative appointments. The board approved the 2017-2018 Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement with Tallahassee Community College. Furthermore, discussions and approvals were held regarding the rebranding of East Gadsden High School, specifically addressing changes to the school's name, mascot, and colors, as well as the approval of various job descriptions.
