This plan outlines strategies for Morgan County, as part of the Health First Indiana initiative, to enhance public health services, prevent disease, and promote positive health outcomes. Key focus areas for 2025 include chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health, tobacco and vaping prevention, student health, trauma prevention, and testing/counseling for HIV, HCV, and STIs. Proposed initiatives involve expanding health education, community gardens, physical activity and nutrition programs, community partnerships, policy changes, employer wellness programs, and addressing social determinants of health.

The Morgan County Council meeting addressed several key financial matters, including additional appropriations for bond payments, a portable morgue cooler, and adjustments to the highway budget. Appropriation reductions were also approved. Several interdepartmental fund transfers were approved for various purposes, including office supplies, equipment, and salary increases. Public hearings were held for budget adoptions for Harrison Township Fire District, Monroe Township Fire District, and Morgan County. An ordinance modifying local income tax rates was discussed and approved. The council approved requests to fill vacant positions in the Prosecutor's office, Purdue Extension, and the Records Department. Salary ordinance amendments were approved for Title IV-D and the Plan Commission. A tort claim was referred to insurance. A highway report was given, and the next meeting date was set.
