The strategic plan focuses on five key segments: Jobs, Housing, Education, Health, and Tourism. For jobs, ACIDA prioritizes job creation numbers for companies accessing land and incentives. In housing, it addresses issues for low to moderate income earners, partnering with organizations like the Choctaw Nation for affordable homes. Education involves collaboration with the Kiamichi Technology Center to develop workforce programs. Health initiatives, in partnership with TSET and the Health Department, aim to improve access to healthy food and overall quality of life. Tourism efforts include enhancing the Atoka County Museum and increasing the viability of Lake Atoka.

The council meeting included awarding a contract for road overlay work on N Ohio Ave to Miller Asphalt for \$31,975.00. Discussion and action were taken on blanket purchase orders for April, the City Manager's report, a mutual aid agreement with Stringtown for storm siren activation, and authorizing legal action to close portions of Pennsylvania Street. A resolution was adopted to apply for a Rural Business Development Grant. A road was named "North Mitchell Rd", and a request regarding building facades was discussed.
