Big Horn County School District #1 Strategic Framework 2026-2027
This strategic framework aims to prepare each student to successfully live and contribute in an ever-changing world. It is built upon six pillars: Purpose, People, Processes, Platform, Progress, and Potential, each guided by specific core beliefs and operational principles. Key priorities include fostering student and staff goal setting and progress monitoring, increasing positive communication and celebration of success, implementing authentic learning, purposeful technology use, achieving 70% proficiency in ELA and math for grades 3-10 on WY-TOPP, and ensuring all students complete age-appropriate life-ready milestones. The framework is underpinned by a foundation of positive culture, with annual priorities reviewed and refined for continuous improvement and student success.
