Accomack County School Board Reorganization/Regular Session
The Board conducted a reorganization, electing a new Chair and Vice-Chair, and appointed Board Clerk and Deputy Clerk positions. Discussions included the adoption of a Code of Conduct, updates from the Discipline, Finance, and Policy committees, and a review of progress on several county school renovation projects. The Board also reviewed a proposed budget, a new website design, discussed plans for a School Board retreat, and received updates from the Superintendent regarding testing, mid-year evaluations, and budget conferences. Finally, the Board approved an amendment to the academic calendar and scheduled a public hearing for carry-forward funds and grants.
