The committee meetings focused on presentations by the Michigan State University Extension regarding diversity and inclusion efforts, as well as multicultural workshops and nutrition programs. Discussions included the 8th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Observance planning, the review and approval of a resolution in support of the Welcoming Michigan organization, and considerations regarding the committee's future legislative purpose and potential transition to a standing committee. Additionally, the group reviewed information regarding local school bond projects and addressed concerns regarding 911 training and internal audit research.
