The board meeting involved reviewing and approving applications for two new vendors to participate in Village Fest. The first vendor, Grateful D, presented their sourdough bread products and discussed their baking process, flavor variety, and packaging. The second vendor, Nacho Macho Lab, presented their menu of nachos, tacos, and french fries, detailing their preparation methods and menu options. Both vendors were approved by the board for participation.

The committee reviewed a request by Sister City Investments, Inc. for major architectural approval to construct eight detached single-family residences. Following staff and applicant presentations, the committee moved to restudy the project, requiring the applicant to revise design elements including color schemes, shade awning configurations, eave and fascia dimensions, pool orientations, driveway widths, elevation differentiations, and materials. Additionally, the Planning Director provided updates regarding a committee member resignation, the appointment of an alternate member to a standing position, and clarification on policies for remote meeting participation.

The committee will review a major architectural application for the construction of a new single-family residence on a hillside lot, including a minor modification for height increase and setback adjustments. Additionally, the agenda features a proposal for a major development permit to construct a self-storage facility on a vacant parcel and a request for a major architectural application for another new single-family residence.

The commission reviewed an in-depth presentation on air service growth and traffic figures, including future strategic focus points for sustainable market expansion and carrier attraction. Discussions addressed staffing recruitments, potential changes to meeting times to improve community participation, and reports on passenger facility charge revenue and fund balances. Updates were provided on major capital improvement projects, including terminal renovations and baggage handling systems. Additionally, the commission examined the feasibility of modifying facilities for international flight acceptance and received status reports on procurement efforts and various airport service agreements.
