The Board of Adjustment reviewed several variance requests regarding property setbacks, accessory structure square footage, and agricultural facility requirements. Key discussions included a variance for a building addition in an industrial district, multiple setback variances for shed additions and accessory buildings, and a variance to allow a larger square footage for an accessory shed in a residential district. Additionally, the Board considered a variance request for the construction of a swine barn relative to neighboring dwelling setbacks and discussed necessary water runoff mitigation efforts for proposed projects. The board also addressed administrative items including future oaths of office and departmental density regulation memorandums.

This document outlines the 2026-2028 Community Health Improvement Plan, developed following a 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment. The plan aims to strategically improve community health by focusing on key priority areas: supporting mental wellbeing through increased access to care and social connection, preventing chronic health conditions via active living and healthy eating initiatives, and addressing chemical health issues such as drug and alcohol use and overdose deaths. Additionally, it maintains a legacy health priority of advocating for more housing to support the community.

The board approved payment of all accounts, a Child Care Appreciation Day Proclamation, and proclamations for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month. Informational items included a presentation on child protection and a first quarter fiscal update. Various reports were presented, including an HHS staffing report, a quarterly trend report, and updates on community initiatives such as the Mighty Mississippi Clean Up Challenge and the annual conference on adult mental health.
