The Town Council discussed the inclusion of an aquatic center in the Request For Proposal for the Vienna Community Center renovations. The council decided against including architectural drawings for a swimming pool, citing fiscal responsibility and the prioritization of essential capital projects. Instead, the focus will remain on building renovations, the construction of a new gymnasium, and the relocation of the W&OD Trail.

The meeting provided an overview of the Jones Point Pump Station Rehabilitation Project. Key discussion topics included the project scope, the justification for replacing the aging pump station, site selection criteria to minimize community impacts, the configuration of the new underground infrastructure, landscaping and aesthetic screening plans, and anticipated construction traffic routes. Additionally, the meeting addressed maintenance access and the integration of a public footpath into the site design.

The task force continued its discussion on the transportation study, specifically focusing on the second portion of the study results and key findings. The meeting agenda covered a recap of volume-to-capacity ratio maps, the proposed Government Center Parkway extension, level of service analysis for intersections, potential traffic signal improvements, road diet opportunities, and active transportation enhancements for Fair Lakes Parkway. Members also discussed the long-term planning for Metro rail integration and express lane configurations.
