The committee reviewed the updated Measure C master budget, project budgets, and the general status of all Measure C projects in the district, including a review of the GMP summary sheet and state facilities funding.

The committee conducted a review of the Measure C budget, examining the CBOC report, GMP summary, and master budget spreadsheet. The 2024-25 Measure C CBOC Annual Report was presented and approved. Project managers provided a detailed status update on all active Measure C projects across various sites using a visual presentation. Additionally, the committee participated in a tour of the Phase I construction site at Pacheco Elementary School.

The board meeting covered several significant items, including the review and approval of annual board priorities, the declaration of need for fully qualified educators, and the Prop 28 annual funding report. The board also approved tentative agreements with multiple employee unions, including CSEA, SEIU, and SLCTA, and addressed contracts for administrative staff. Capital project matters were resolved, specifically approving amendments for the Bishop's Peak Elementary and Del Mar Elementary modernization projects. Policy updates regarding board bylaws on remuneration and budget revisions were discussed and approved. Additionally, the board processed routine personnel actions, budget updates, and various operational approvals.

The Board discussed the superintendent search process, including collaboration with the search firm, timeline requirements, and desired leadership qualities. Additionally, the Board held a closed session to discuss a public employee appointment for the superintendent position.

The Board meeting included closed session discussions on litigation, personnel matters, and labor negotiations. Presentations featured student representatives from local high schools and an employee recognition ceremony for Employees and Teachers of the Year. Public input sessions addressed librarian staffing and kindergarten staffing at Baywood. Superintendent updates covered the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), educational services, and Measure C capital projects. Public hearings were held for the 2026-27 LCAP and the 2026-27 Proposed Budget, followed by their first readings and reviews. The Board approved the consent agenda, which included legal services contract renewals, acceptance of donations, new staff classifications, surplus disposal, personnel items, salary schedules, and furniture/equipment requests. Board members also provided individual reports.
