City Council City Council Meeting
The City Council meeting included the adoption of a consent agenda, with certain items removed for individual consideration. A primary discussion focused on the annexation of land west of Round Top Road and adjacent to Happy Jack Road, intended for development into a business park. Public comments were heard regarding the annexation, with several residents expressing opposition due to concerns about neighborhood impacts, water usage, noise, light pollution, and the preservation of historic ranch land and local heritage. Supporters of the project noted that annexation into the city would subject the development to stricter regulatory oversight compared to development in the county.
