The Board reviewed departmental reports, including police activity, building permits, and fire department runs. New business discussions centered on approving the 2026 summer tax collection agreement with Imlay City Schools, authorizing Fire Department personnel to attend MSFA Ice Rescue Training, and approving the ICP/ICX Annual Maintenance Contract for election equipment. The Board also set the date for the annual joint meeting with the Fire Department. Old business included a tabled discussion regarding a baseball contract. The Board approved the bills and vouchers, reviewed the December budget, and accepted the Treasurer's report for filing.

The Special Meeting was held primarily to review and sign the public hearing minutes from January 6, 2026. The agenda was approved with a correction to the meeting date year. The minutes of the January 6, 2026, Butterfield Public Hearing were accepted. The board noted that this meeting was rescheduled from January 12, 2026, due to improper posting time. Discussion included a presentation by the Recording Secretary regarding potential upcoming Zoning meetings.

The meeting included updates to the Acknowledgement Page of the Master Plan. There was discussion regarding commercial fireworks displays at events, including the differences between consumer and commercial grade fireworks, and a suggestion to invite a fireworks professional to speak on the subject. The Township Board reported on bridge repairs on Lum Road and re-graveling of Lake Pleasant Road, as well as the removal of a dirt pile at the cemetery. The Zoning Board of Appeals had no meetings to report.

The Arcadia Township Board held a Budget Hearing Meeting. The board discussed wage increases for various positions, including Secretary, Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Clerk, Election Chairperson, Janitorial staff, and Board of Review Meetings & Training. The millage rate for Lapeer County was reported. The board also reviewed and accepted the Arcadia Township Resolution concerning the Public Safety Special Assessment Budget. Additionally, the board reviewed the 2024-2025 Final Budget and the 2025-2026 Proposed Budget, which was prepared with a proposed 1.2952 millage rate. Following the Public Hearing, the board held a Special Meeting. During the special meeting, the board approved bills and vouchers, budget amendments for 2024/2025, and adopted the 2025/2026 Budget. The board reached a consensus to allow the Treasurer to sign an agreement with Choice One Bank for positive pay.

The Arcadia Township Board meeting included discussions and actions on various topics. A Planning Commission appointment was approved. A decision was made regarding cross-tube replacement. Information on water rescue training was presented. The Semco ordinance approved in April 2025 was rescinded. The board reviewed the gravel project's completion, approved bills and vouchers, reviewed the budget for July, and placed the treasurer's report on file for audit. Representatives provided updates from the Planning Commission, ZBA, Construction Code Authority, MTA, Lapeer County Road Commission, and EMS. A resident raised concerns about a tree blocking the view at Bowers Road and Lake Pleasant Road.
