This Strategic Plan for OJJ is a dynamic document designed to improve and expand services for youth and families, overseen by national partners. It is structured around five key initiatives: Safety First, Family Involvement, Quality Seamless Continuum of Care, Community Involvement and Partnership, and Data Driven Outcomes. The plan aims to foster therapeutic environments, enhance family engagement, provide comprehensive treatment and prevention services, strengthen community connections, and utilize data for effective decision-making. It includes performance measures and a regionalization initiative, and facilitated the Service Coordination Model to transform Louisiana's Juvenile Probation and Parole System, focusing on youth self-reliance and informed participation.

The plan prioritizes reducing recidivism, offering appropriate services in less restrictive environments, enhancing staff development, and increasing educational and vocational opportunities for youth.
