The meeting included an update on the Emergency Weather response program and ongoing efforts to repurpose unspent disaster funding from 2019 to support affordable housing development. Board members reviewed and provided revisions to the application form, including simplifying the document and adjusting the reporting requirements for outcomes. Additionally, the group reviewed the service report and reached a decision to remove the outcome reporting section.

The council deliberated on several bills, including the failed passage of two conditional use permits. Significant discussion took place regarding an agreement for ICE training for police officers, which was ultimately approved. The council also addressed conditional use permits for Defiance Ridge Vineyards, approved various consent agenda items such as equipment purchases and professional service agreements, and recognized April as Child Abuse Awareness Month. Additionally, resolutions were passed concerning projected tax rates and opposition to an unfunded mandate regarding utility relocation costs. The council also supported moving school board elections to November, approved intergovernmental agreements for project cost reimbursement with the cities of O'Fallon and Wentzville, and enacted regulations for Kratom sales.

The board conducted a regular meeting and a subsequent closed session to discuss legal and property matters pursuant to state statutes. Following the sessions, the meeting was formally adjourned.

The agenda includes a report from the Director of Human Resources, new business regarding the acceptance of the certification vote for Sheriff's Lieutenants collective bargaining representation, and the status of Appeal No. 25-01. Additionally, the commission may enter a closed session and will schedule a future meeting.

The Commission addressed the 2026 Fireworks Stand Regulations and reviewed multiple requests for conditional use permits to operate temporary fireworks stands at various locations. Additionally, the agenda included a zoning map amendment request to reclassify property at 5304 Gutermuth Road from R1A to R1D and the review of the Cortina Preliminary Plat for the same property. The meeting also included Planning and Zoning Division updates.
